Bespoke Engineering & Standards
At KRC Optical Private Limited, precision manufacturing meets compliance excellence. We specialize in designing and producing Optical Fiber Cables, Networking Cables, and Power Cables that are engineered in accordance with the latest RDSO and TEC specifications, ensuring performance, durability, and reliability for critical telecom and railway infrastructure.
While our products are not RDSO- or TEC-approved, every cable is meticulously designed and manufactured as per the relevant standards — providing equivalent technical compliance, test performance, and long-term operational satisfaction.
Manufactured as per TEC Standards
The Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) defines the national framework for telecom cables used in India’s communication backbone. Our products are manufactured in line with these Generic Requirement (GR) standards, referencing global norms such as ITU-T, IEC, and ASTM.
1. Underground Metal-Free OFC (as per TEC/GR/TX/OFC-017/01.JUN 2007)
- Single-mode G.652D fibre, multi-loose tube, metal-free construction.
- Designed for underground duct installation with water-blocking and anti-termite protection.
- Meets mechanical and environmental performance levels defined under IEC 60794 standards.
2. ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) Cable (as per TEC 85190:2022)
- Suitable for overhead power line networks and pole routes.
- Manufactured as per semi-dry and dry-dry core design.
- Engineered for tensile, wind load, and electrical field endurance.
3. Armoured Underground Cable (as per TEC mechanical guidelines)
- Rugged construction with corrugated steel or stainless-steel armor.
- Provides crush and tensile resistance as specified by TEC and IEC test methods.
4. Raw Materials (as per TEC 89010:2021)
- All components including loose tubes, FRP, and HDPE sheath compounds are sourced and tested per the defined generic requirements for materials.
Note: All TEC-related references indicate manufacturing conformity, not certification or approval from TEC.
Manufactured as per RDSO Specifications
For projects serving railway and signaling networks, our cables are manufactured as per RDSO technical standards and mechanical benchmarks, ensuring compliance in build quality, testing, and environmental resilience.
Key Specifications Followed
- IRS: TC 55-2006 (Rev. 1, Amd. 1 & 2) — Armoured 24/48 Fibre OFC for underground/duct installation.
- RDSO/SPN/TC/110/2020 (Rev. 0) — Advanced Armoured OFC specification for enhanced tensile and compressive performance.
- RDSO/SPN/TC/68/2014 (Amdt. 1) — Joint enclosures for Armoured OFC.
- RDSO/SPN/TC/69/2007 (Rev. 0) — Patch cords and pigtails for OFC systems.

Note: KRC Optical is not an RDSO-approved manufacturer, nor are our products officially RDSO-certified. However, all manufacturing and testing processes are aligned to RDSO technical requirements to deliver equivalent quality and operational reliability.
Engineering Integrity and Testing
Every cable we produce undergoes rigorous in-house validation — optical, mechanical, and environmental — as per the methodologies outlined in IEC 60794 (Part 1 & 2) and related TEC/RDSO guidelines. Testing includes:
• Attenuation & Dispersion Analysis
• Tensile, Crush & Impact Resistance
• Temperature Cycling, Water Penetration & UV Resistance
• Sequential Length and Color Coding as per TEC norms
Our in-house systems follow ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 frameworks, and all testing is NABL Lab Validated to ensure traceability, repeatability, and performance assurance.
Sectoral Applications
Our TEC- and RDSO-standard compliant cables are used extensively in:
• Telecom backbone and FTTH networks
• Railway signaling and communication systems
• Power utilities and smart grid networks
• Defence, enterprise, and industrial connectivity projects
Built to Standards. Manufactured with Trust.
We take pride in producing cables as per TEC and RDSO specifications, delivering technical compliance without compromise — even when formal certification is not part of the supply requirement.
At KRC Optical, our commitment is clear : to engineer cables that meet the same precision, performance, and endurance standards expected from any certified source — with utmost customer satisfaction and transparent compliance.
Disclaimer: KRC Optical Private Limited manufactures products in accordance with RDSO and TEC specifications. However, our products are not approved, certified, or type-tested by RDSO or TEC. All references to these standards indicate design and manufacturing conformity, not formal approval.
